Wall Street – Rental Movie Review Monday

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (PG)

To take down a merciless finance executive, a young trader agrees to a disgraced Wall street legend’s proposal in exchange for the man to be reunited with his daughter, the trader’s fiancée.

Stars: Shia LaBeouf, Michael Douglas and Carey Mulligan

Wall Street happens to be a movie that I loved back in 1994 (rental of course). I’m not one of those film critics that says a bunch of bad stuff just to feel superior. I want to give you my honest and relaxed “she said, he said” review.

I really liked Shia. I felt he played the roll of a gentleman very well. Michael Douglas, I felt was all over the board. Arrogant, father figure, trustworthy, untrustworthy… Just what was he?  It was almost silly at times. Carey Mulligan, hum maybe a little too over the top. Who really turns down $100 million dollars when you’re barely trying to provide for your family? Can she at least take 3 million? Anyway, was not my 10 ten was not even my top 34. See it for pure entertainment but you won’t spend your time thinking about it the next day. (my husband felt exactly the same way about it)
