Seattle :: Seattle Library

Going to the library is not always an exciting experience unless you go to the Seattle library -it’s pretty out of the ordinary.

Yes, that entire building all 197 million dollars worth is the Seattle public library.

Located at 1000 4th Ave. right off the Madison Exit

It’s well organized and quite a piece of art. Do you see all of the shelves are a stainless steal color and the rugs are with large graphics in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

When visiting the Seattle library you have to go up to the 4th floor. It’s the meeting room area and everything on that floor is red and I mean everything

The walls, the ceiling, the stairs, doors, door nobs …..

and yes even the bathroom. Wouldn’t you love to film a movie here ?

Or the teen area the stainless steal and glass window beams stretch from one side of the building to the other

Every square here is a window where you can see all the way down to the street.

Then don’t forget to take a quick elevator ride up to the 10th floor for a spectacular view downward onto the city through these square windows.

My kids had a ball and of course found all kinds of great books. If you’re planning a visit to Seattle please take time to stop by this architectural wonder.
