Day 15: Getting All of Your Colors


Yesterday I talked about the new “My Plate” program and just what your child’s plate should look like nutritionally. Now, one more note on that. In our family we call it “Getting all your colors” Make sure your child’s plate has orange (carrots), green (dark lettuce or broccoli), yellow (squash) brown (whole grains), etc… These are healthy colors from natural foods. Not from food coloring, of course      •.¸¸.•´¯`•.♥.•´¯`•.¸¸.•.
